Weekly Book Recap #71 -- BEA 2014 Edition--Part 2

Happy Father's Day to all the amazing dads, step dads, father figures, and male role models who provide love and support to their families and friends each and every day.

Here's a look at the remaining debut novels, highly anticipated books, memoirs, and newest installments in continuing series that I carted home from BEA.  They fall into different genres, both fiction and non-fiction.  (If you missed last week's recap from BEA, here's the link: Weekly Book Recap #70 -- BEA 2014 Edition--Part 1.)  I'm still figuring out which books to read first, but that's a happy problem to have. 

As I unpacked, I relived the many special moments of BEA. My most favorite was exchanging a bit of girl talk with the legendary Anjelica Huston as she signed a copy of her memoir for me.

Other outstanding BEA moments:
  • Meeting the charming Irish writer, Colm Toibin and the fabulous Jodi Picoult
  • Watching Billy Idol pose for photos displaying his trademark scowl
  • The rollicking panel of female authors: Chelsea Cain, Rainbow Rowell, Lauren Oliver, Lisa Scottoline, and Sophie Littlefield
  • Hugs from Lisa Scottoline
  • Book signings in the Harlequin booth, the Mystery Writers of America booth, and the autographing area, where I met so many of today's bestselling authors.
